LYRICS

Ironic how it feels so much better when Im bent

I get paid and then invest don’t ask  me why my money spent

Im saying how I feel and I hope they don’t take offense

But when you flexing on the gram homie I am not impressed

You put others down so you feel better bout yourself

And although you don’t shed a tear I see you crying out for help

You hoping even though you ain’t heard that you could be felt

You say you don’t believe in god because you already in hell

Before you even start you already feel like you failed

And you gone take the charge before you fix your lips to tell

You listening to rap and you thinking that its real

And you ain’t even in class but you down to do a drill

You ain’t got a pop but you ready to pop a pill

You don’t talk to cops but you ready to cop a feel

You saying its al good when I ask you how you feel

Trust me bro I understand man we got a lot to heal

Back men need therapy *8

Ironic how it feels so much better when Im bent

I will smith and Wesson somebody with fresh prints

Im saying how I feel and I hope they don’t take offense

Its more you can accomplish homie you are not your past

You know deep inside you got a business you can start

Money you can make party somewhere on a yacht

If you just stay focused you could take it to the top

You say you don’t believe in god but homie maybe you should start

He believe in you that’s why he gave you all the parts

The pieces of the puzzle might be broke but you can solve it

I know that you struggling with hope and its a problem

The hardest battles always go to soldiers that’s the strongest

You ain’t got a pop but you ready to pop a pill

You don’t talk to cops but you ready to cop a feel

You saying its al good when I ask you how you feel

Trust me bro I understand man we got a lot to heal

Back men need therapy * 8

THE NEW MASCULINITY

The podcast explores the dynamics of black culture and what it means to be a man in America, and how society doesn't always allow for the processing of traumatic experiences. The goal of the podcast is to help individuals identify the importance of therapy, inspire finding safe spaces to talk, and to manage the mind. The discussion then delves into the historical traumas faced by black men in America, leading to a cycle of hypermasculinity and super femininity. The definition of masculinity is redefined as a man with a vision and self-control to see that vision come to life, who can adopt a long-term mentality and resist short-term gratification. The ability to fight urges and complete goals through adversity is what makes a man masculine, and to do this, one must believe in the God inside themselves to manifest their goals in real life.

Why I Wrote It?

I was at a point where my career was going up, while my mental health was going down. As a black man, there weren’t many outlets that i knew of to go and discuss my specific problems. Therapy was always looked as weird in my community, but once you level up to a higher level of thinking, you realize. Nothing that puts you in a better situation to win is “weird” it’s a win.
